About us
Redefining the cross-brand, cross-platform ordering experience
At RBI, we recognize that our guests no longer make food decisions based only on the food itself,
but rather the entire experience surrounding the meal - and that experience is becoming increasingly
digital. We’re building a React and Node stack to support an ordering platform spanning across the
three brands. We’re solving technically interesting problems while building products designed to
engage and delight our users.
By collaborating with partners across the brands, we are able to seamlessly integrate the physical
and digital experience for our customers. The Whopper Detour helped the Burger King app reach
#1 in the app store when it launched, and the new Tims Rewards program had been used by 20%
of Canadians within two months of launching.
As our team grows, we’ll continue to create innovative products and technologies to deliver digital
consumer experiences that enhance guest interactions with our brands. The infrastructure we are
putting in place will support tens of millions of users at or 25,000 restaurants in 120+ countries.

Some members of our team are:
Pedro de Ona
Software Engineer
Prior to joining RBI, Pedro de Ona founded a telemedicine platform for
healthcare providers. He also worked as a senior software engineer at Wyntalent,
a branch of Wyncode Academy.
Frank Hernandez
Software Engineer
Before joining RBI, Frank worked as a Software Engineer with GE Digital and
interned with Capital One & Chase. Frank teaches full stack web development
and is an avid hackathon participant.
Teddy Sherrill
CTO
Before joining RBI, Teddy helped create a tech company in NYC called Flocabulary
(launched in 2011 and acquired by Nearpod in 2019). Outside of work, Teddy
represents the USA as a competitive athlete on its national fencing team.
Elie Javice
Head, Product
Prior to RBI, Elie was a Product Manager at Microsoft where he defined
productivity on new form factors and drove mobile growth for Word, Excel,
and PPT. Elie leads a cross-functional team shaping the future of customer
experience at RBI.
Netali Shkori
Associate PM
Netali attended Florida International University where she majored in Business
Management & Human Resources. She is a travel enthusiast who loves to eat
her way through every new city she visits!
Ian Walker-Sperber
Lead, Back-End
Ian recently joined RBI, having previously worked as a software engineer at
Formidable Labs. In his free time, Ian enjoys watching foreign films. He studied
comparative literature at Cornell University.
Patricia Artiaga
Associate PM
Patricia graduated from Tulane University and Universidad Pontificia de
Comillas. She is originally from Madrid, Spain. She likes to play tennis, go to
the beach, and go boating with her friends.
Walter Colindres
Sr. Product Owner
Walter has spent the last 5 years working on teams that undertake digital
transformations. He spends his spare time with his kids and wife, Petra. He also
draws and paints when he's not chasing his kids around.
Asher Perlmutter
Head, Engineering
Asher's previously worked building out large cloud platforms at Google - GCP
Kubernetes, and Microsoft - Workplace Analytics for O365. In his spare time he
likes building mobile applications, playing volleyball and wakeboarding.

Miami
Miami is one of the most vibrant cities in the US both because of its rich culture and its fast growth
as a hub of technology and business. From Wynwood, a neighborhood so full of murals it’s considered an
outdoor museum, to Brickell, the urban center filled with high-rises by the bay, there is something for
everyone here. Miami offers world-class restaurants, museums, parks, and entertainment of every kind.
And while Miami is so much more than just beaches, spending the weekend on the water never gets old!
Toronto
Toronto is considered one of the most cosmopolitan and multicultural cities in the world. In this
wonderful city you can explore art museums, try diverse foods from all around the world, discover
Ontario's parks, lakes, and beaches and enjoy it’s amazing nightlife.
