The 2024 sustainability report marks continued progress across Food, Planet, and People & Communities pillars

MIAMI, April 28, 2025 – Today, Restaurant Brands International Inc. (“RBI”) (NYSE: QSR) (TSX: QSP), parent company of Tim Hortons®, Burger King®, Popeyes® and Firehouse Subs®, released its annual Restaurant Brands for Good report, highlighting progress achieved in 2024 across its three pillars: Food, Planet and People & Communities.

“With a presence in over 120 countries and territories, we know our scale and influence give us the opportunity and the responsibility to make a positive impact on the guests we serve, the planet we share, and the communities where we operate,” said Duncan Fulton, Chief Corporate Officer at RBI. “I’m proud that we’re not only building the most loved restaurant brands in the world – we're also building a responsible business that’s committed to doing what’s right while delivering excellent quality, service and convenience for our guests.”

In recognition of its ongoing efforts, RBI was named to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class North America Index for the third consecutive year in 2024.

“We are committed to doing what’s right for the long-term, even when it’s complex or takes longer than we’d like. This journey relies on our suppliers progressing at the same pace and on our guests supporting the outcomes of our efforts, including changes in our menu, packaging and restaurant experience,” concluded Fulton.

Highlights from the 2024 Restaurants Brands for Good Report:

  • Implemented new building standards that improve energy efficiency and conducted emissions reduction pilots across each brand in select restaurants globally to test additional building efficiency measures.
  • Tracking to achieve 10% reduction in virgin plastic content in guest-facing, single-use packaging by the end of next year (2026) across U.S and Canada home markets and demonstrated success in designing packaging that uses less materials without impacting guest experience.
  • Completed first global water risk analysis and developing a water stewardship plan, evaluating initiatives to mitigate water risks across operations and supply chain for key commodities.
  • Supported communities with all four restaurant brands sharing progress from their foundations, led by an impressive $44M CAD raised in 2024 by Tim Hortons in Canada to support community charities and the brand’s own Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
